May issue of Paper Magazine

The May issue of Paper Mag is out NOW  :)   Amazing nail creations by Naomi Yasuda!!!

Naomi’s nails are incredible, her attention to detail is amazing!! a subway sub on a nail!!!

Lookey the lil cheesburgers n fries!  Incredible!!

Always a cool day to be Naomi’s hand model.    I have a favorite memory of a shoot involving dangling chain mail from the nails and scratching a male models torso.

Hand Model Song by Nate Shelkey

Posted on February 16th, 2010

My friend Nate Shelkey wrote a song for me! giggle! Love it! He is a freakin’ awesome and hysterical guy and a great musician too. You probably saw him pantless during the Superbowl in the Dockers “I Wear No Pants” commercial… or dressed up as a giant mouse in commercials for D-Con mouse traps. Nate pretty much rocks all around and you can check him out online here!

Loving my new website

Posted on February 15th, 2010

I am so excited about the website that the great gals at HotGlueMedia & I created.    I think it looks beautiful and a lot of that comes from some amazing photos that I want to take a moment to rave about!

I would love to thank Willie Nash and Michina Koide for my favorite photo ever, the juicy pomegranate.    Willie shot the pic and Michina did the fantastic nails!  LOVE LOVE!!!

Huge thanks to Jeff Saxman for pulling the camera off my hands and snapping some of my face and face & hands and hands..  those hands always creep into the shot, they refuse to take a backseat EVER!  Before my face could become upstaged, Jeff got some great pics of me smiling that you see on the top right corner of my website.  Also big thanks to Rich Nashette for making sure the final prints looked GREAT.

Thanks to makeup artist Gina Batts for doing up my face all purdy.

I’d also like to thank Ryan Davis for doing the photo shop work on the fortune cookie gif that you see on the home page, he slaved over those photos erasing an old bad phone number!! I love the fortune cookie pics that were shot by Jeff Saxman too much to let a little thing like a wrong pager number keep me from getting to use the shots!

Those photos give my website life.  Thanks Jeff!   Thanks Willie!!  Thanks Rich!!!  Thanks Michina!!!!  Thanks Gina!!!!! Thanks Ryan!!!!!!

(I was thinking about my statement of my favorite photo ever.. and yes, the Pom is my fave hand photo….Just the thought made me remember my actual favorite photo ever.. giggle! giggle! Shot by the fantastic Jeff Saxman after a day of shooting toasters for Hamilton Beach…)
